Sydney's teen-run filmmaking event

A weekend. A theme. A film.

Limelight Creatives is a filmmaking weekend run by teenagers, for teenagers. Get a theme, form a team of three, and make a short film before the weekend's out.

Show up

ANY teenager in Sydney can join. No experience? No problem.

Get your theme

Every single team starts from the exact same prompt. Where you take it is up to you.

Make your film

In teams of three, write, shoot, and edit a 1–2 minute short across the weekend.

Win prizes

Legendary films walk away with legendary prizes.

Most teenagers who have a genuine passion for film-making never get the chance — no crew, deadline, or room to actually do it. Limelight Creatives is that room. All it takes is one weekend, a real team, and a finished film with your (yes your) name on it. Run entirely by teenagers who wanted this to exist, so we built it.
