Limelight Creatives runs film-athons, which are weekend-long events where teenagers make short films from scratch. In teams of three, you work over the weekend to turn what used to be a simple idea and a theme into a finished 1–2 minute film.

It's open to any teenager aged 13–18, and it's completely free. You don't need any prior experience or equipment, just show up and make something. All adult mentors hold a valid NSW Working With Children Check and supervise throughout the weekend. Here at Limelight Creatives, we give young people a real reason and a real room to create.

The best part? It's run entirely by teenagers who built the very thing we wished we'd had.
